I just realized that this is 100th news posting that I have made to this site after starting it over two years ago. So it seems appropriate that after a year of brainstorming, coding, debugging and toying the release day for Presentation Engine 3.0 has finally arrived. Needless to say this release contains dozens of feature additions, many many bugfixes and generally provides a much more complete Bloging experience. A few of the new features include:

1. Don't like FTP? That's good because the Presentation Engine now provides integrated file management functions allowing for easy upload and management of files and directories. 2. Want to start your own Forum? Yep Presentation Engine 3.0 will allow you to do that as well. It's as easy to setup as logging into Admin mode and setting up the initial forum(s) with a few clicks of your mouse. 3. The Presentation Engine 3.0 and its new Theming Engine are now CSS compliant. The code is cleaner and the pages are far nicer. 4. There are dozens of other little enhancements and additions the most important of which have been documented in the readme.txt file included with the source code download. Not to mention a truckload of bugfixes as well.

So click on over to the "Projects" section and make your way into the Presentation Engine page for more information and the link to download the latest source code. A sample theme for the new theming engine has been included along with the layer XCF (Gimp compatible) files for the theme graphics along with the new Presentation Engine logo. I've also included the scripts you will have to run to automatically upgrade a PE 2.0 or 2.1 database to a 3.0 database. This release is about double the size of the last and weighs in around 700K zipped up.
