Well here we are boys and girls: Mere days before a midterm election in the United States that were it not for the involvement of Donald Trump and his imploding fascist movement, would merit less attention than than virtually anything else I could possibly talk about. However in this instance of the multiverse it would appear, at least on the surface, that this may in fact be the most important election of our lives.
Yes I know we’ve been hearing that for so many of the recent elections and a lot of you are tired of hearing. Let me be clear, because I cannot emphasize this point enough. This election is important. It will ALWAYS be important when fascism is on the ballot. If you care about this country and its future, you need to vote. If you care about freedom and democracy, you need to vote against every single Republican on the ticket. If you care about actually defeating the fascists, your only real option is to vote for Democratic candidates. There are no Republicans running for office who are exempt from the very broad brush stroke that I’m about to paint with: They are enablers of Donald Trump and they have conspired together to dismantle the remaining checks and balances that are keeping our nation from going over the edge… of forever.
Let me be clear: Voting for third parties is a waste of your time and only runs the risk of making you look like a sucker and while ensuring that the final nail gets pounded into the coffin of our nation. The only way to curb stomp Trump, MAGA and their attempt to break this nation for the foreseeable future is to make them take the loss. The bigger that loss is, the better it is. That of course won’t be enough. Trump and his cronies have absolutely zero intention of respecting election results that are not in their favor. Based on the polling, there is absolutely zero chance that this election will go in their favor.
Republicans as a political party have shit the bed. They gave up whatever final remnant of principle that they had on the day of Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial when they almost all voted against impeaching him. This was painful because Trump absolutely kicked off a coup in early 2021 to try and maintain power. He will absolutely do this again. It won’t look like it did last time around though. He doesn’t need to convince MAGA mouth breathers to start building gallows outside the capitol building this time around. That’s because Trump has spent the last two years building his own army: ICE.
The Trump Regime (note: I’m done using the word Administration here) has already begun to contest election results. Alaska is a great example of what is to come. This lawsuit could not be more bald faced either as it basically insists that the election will only be stolen IF the Democratic candidate wins. These people aren’t interested in reality, evidence and data. They are only interested in maintaining power. There is no low they won’t sink to in the quest to achieve that goal. But that lawsuit is really just the start. We’ve also got FBI agents who are concerned that they will be ordered to seize ballots on the day of or the days after the election. This is pretty in line with the prediction I made back in September around the FBI conducting raids on State Election Commission offices.
For those of you wondering, I am still planning to vote on election day. I’m not voting early this year. This is because I want to see the events unfold at my polling site on the actual day of the election. Of course there are some of you out there who are probably saying, “But you live in South Carolina, so why would anything even happen there?” Well that’s a good question. The answer is simple. Trump is fucked right now. So fucked that he’s actually losing substantial ground in states like South Carolina where a Trump backed candidate used to come with a guarantee of victory. The majority of Republicans in this state aren’t in close races, however, one is.
Darline Graham, sister of our late senator Lindsey Graham (aka Lady G to Washington based male prostitutes), isn’t doing so hot. In fact she’s currently running in a VERY close race with Dr. Annie Andrews, her Democratic opponent. So close in fact that right now its a tie. Most of this has to do with the fact that Darline Graham is basically a nepotism pick. She was appointed as her brother’s replacement by our idiotic Governor and Trump, a massive believer in and beneficiary of nepotism himself, decided that she was going to be Lindsey’s heir apparent. Of course somewhere along the line Darline opened her mouth and spoke enough that it became impossible to ignore the fact that she is merely an empty vessel from which Trump’s dipshittery is broadcast. All of her debate performances have been disastorous. Her commercials are total shit and basically spend her time (and the time of our other Trump ass puppet Senator, Tim Scott) trying to paint Annie Andrews as some kind of pro Transgender candidate who is swapping out kids genitalia during her lunch hour.
In any event, control of the Senate is on the line and Darline is not doing well. So I think that whatever shit is going down on election day will absolutely happen here in South Carolina as well. That’s how badly Trump has screwed the pooch here along with everywhere else. South Carolina was NEVER supposed to be a factor. Hell it hasn’t been one for as long as I can remember. My votes have been meaningless since I swore off voting for Republicans in 2004. Yet here we are. My vote might actually make a difference for once.
But I can’t do that alone. Everybody, everywhere needs to vote against Trump and the policies of his shit party. The MAGA movement needs to have it nuts clipped, permanently.
Nevertheless, Trump will not accept any negative outcomes. We must be prepared to act. Keep cash on hand. Keep food supplies at the ready. Be prepared to defend yourselves in some form or fashion. Be ready to go out and protest. Once ballots are seized (yes I’m dispensing with the ifs at this point), it wouldn’t surprise me if they start seizing the people who voted against them. Remember all those concentration camps ICE has been building? They are about to get a lot more crowded. They will do whatever it takes to de-legitimize the negative outcome that is coming for Trump. That will include painting the opposition as terrorists, traitors and communists. Too many people, Republicans and Big Tech Oligarchs included, have put it all on the line by aligning themselves with this fascist and autocratic regime. They all stand to lose a great deal if we turn the corner and start holding them accountable for the crimes and the corruption that we’ve been watching play out in a very public fashion over the last two years.
Remember: These people believe they are masters of the universe. They are the ones we should be afraid of. While MAGA is nothing more than a sideshow here, akin to useful idiots at this point, we should remain wary of them. If things get really desperate, Trump will absolutely tag in the cultists to try and fill in the gaps left by ICE and whatever other renegade scumbags wielding a badge hitch their wagon to Trumps fallen star. Losing isn’t on their agenda. Winning is the only thing on ours. If we aren’t willing to vote in favor much less fight for our rights, Trump, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerburg, Jeff Bezos and ICE will take them away. It’s that motherfucking simple.
Be wary, be careful and most importantly be prepared.
Finally: Vote for Democrats as if your lives depended on it, because guess what? They do.
