I have finally gotten the time to sit down and clean up some of the messier portions of the Presentation Engine 3.1 BETA code. In addition to cleaning things up, eliminating bloat and improving some of the admin interfaces - I have added yet another new feature:

Spell Checking.

Thats right you can now your articles and news stories before you post them on the front page using the new built in spell-checker. Now before you ask, no I did not write this spell checker. I have made use of a few .NET library known as NetSpell . When it comes to spell checking for web applications NetSpell wipes away the competition. For starters it is 100% absolutely free. It has been released under a BSD license so you can even use it in commercial applications and not have to worry about what side effects the license would have on your closed code if it was GPL. By default spell checking will be available in every admin interface screen. Eventually I'll get around to activating it for the forum post editing screens to allow my visitors to take advantage of this awesome functionality too.

Rest assured, the Presentation Engine 3.1 release is forthcoming. Most of the kinks within the code that were bothering me have finally been worked out over what precious little free time I've had over the last few weeks. Now I've just got to put on a few finishing touches and gasp write the documentation.... sigh. Perhaps that part can wait, eh?

I keed! I keed!
